Learning the Symbols
Symbols are Tarot's real language. Every colour, number, animal and object on a card carries its own meaning.
Colours: yellow is awareness and sun, blue is intuition and water, red is passion and action, green is growth and nature, black is the unknown, white is beginning's purity. The dominant colour of a card is your first clue.
Numbers: one is beginning, two is choice, three is growth, four is stability, five is crisis, six is harmony, seven is mystery, eight is mastery, nine is fulfilment, ten is completion. This mystical arithmetic is alive in Tarot.
Objects and animals: lion (will), eagle (vision), snake (transformation), an overflowing cup (limitless feeling), an upright sword (clear thought). Looking closely at these details lifts a reading from the surface into its depth.
