Learning Tarot Spreads
A spread is the map of a reading — where each card sits on the table frames what it means.
Begin with a three-card spread: past, present, future. Or three others: situation, challenge, advice. The simplicity keeps the voice of the cards clear.
Then move to the ten-card Celtic Cross — the most complete classical spread for a full look at a situation: the self, the obstacle, the root, recent past, crown, near future, you, environment, hopes and outcome.
For a specific question, design your own spread. Take a page, write a question for each position, then draw. A spread should serve the question, not the other way around.
